Danske Bank Pleads Guilty to Fraud on U.S. Banks in a Multi-Billion Dollar Scheme to Access the U.S. Financial System.
Largest Bank in Denmark Agrees to Forfeit $2 Billion.
Danske Bank A/S (Danske Bank), a global financial institution headquartered in Denmark, pleaded guilty today and agreed to forfeit $2 billion to resolve the United States’ investigation into Danske Bank’s fraud on U.S. banks.
According to court documents, Danske Bank defrauded U.S. banks regarding Danske Bank Estonia’s customers and anti-money laundering controls to facilitate access to the U.S. financial system for Danske Bank Estonia’s high-risk customers, who resided outside of Estonia – including in Russia. The Justice Department will credit nearly $850 million in payments that Danske Bank makes to resolve related parallel investigations by other domestic and foreign authorities. Continues further down.

HIS EXCELLENCY
Ambassador to Oslo 2005
King Harald of Norway and Ambassador Rezvai
The Iranian Embassy in Oslo

Notes after meeting with Mr. Rezvani, Ambassador to Oslo
To The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran
Oslo March 2nd, 2011
Dear Ambassador Rezvani,
When I heard that “Rezvani is back in the Embassy” I immediately thought of your brother with home I enjoyed particularly good relations in a period of difficulties and stress for both him and Ambassador Noghrehkar Shirazi. I have had the pleasure to meet with you briefly on February 10th this year. You are ambassador of the proud and more than ten thousand years old culture of Persia.
I give you two pdf files. One about the huge seismic operation in Iranian waters between 1998 and 2003, named Persian Carpet 2000, or PC 2000 for short. I was part of this three-national project between Iran, Norway and China and I documented the entire project from day one till finish.
The second PDF is about my dialogue talks in Tehran. This was originally my idea to the PC 2000 project, because I thought it necessary to hear what the Iranians where thinking. Thus, where borne “Vision of Iran: Creating dialogue and Common Ground with the Islamic Republic of Iran”. This was a project which was handled by Mr. Rezvani and off course Ambassador Shirazi. Mr. Rezvani has much of the honor for the good results. My job is not to mingle into politics, but rather create good relations and common ground.
When you have time one day, we can sit down and talk. Until then I wish you and Mr. Amir Hossein Gharibnejad the very best.
Yours sincerely
